Cubase VST 5.0 r1 Macintosh Version History

This version now supports sending MIDI events to Propellerhead's Reason as the Rewire interface is update to 2.0.

When the pitch shift dialog was opened in the wave editor and canceled, a "Create File Error" appeared when you selected audio and tried to edit it again. The same operation did work in the edit window though. Fixed.

When recording audio with the audio edit window open everything's was fine until you splice or nudge a newly recorded segment. The newly recorded audio played back out of sync until you closed the edit window. Fixed.

When Metronome was set to Pre-count only, it dropped out in the last bar before recording starts. Fixed.

Sometimes Cubase read and wrote audio files to and from the trash after you backed up a song to another drive and then you put the original in the trash.The backup was still accessing and writing files to the old audio folder that was in the trash. Fixed.

The playback of 32 bit AIFF float files exhibited very poor CPU performance under certain circumstances. Fixed.

Swapping from the controller editor to the audio editor could have caused a crash. Fixed.

Activating/Deactivating additional Outputs (Busses) broke send routings to Groups. Fixed.

Setting the song position rapidly and frequently with the FF/REW buttons could cause the midi and audio to be out of step until a normal stop & play action. Fixed.

The audio track routing on channels one and two became lost if the segment was auditioned with the play tool or the play button in the wave-editor. Fixed

MIDI could stop playing if the cycle was de-activated at the very moment when the song position pointer reached the right locator. Pressing stop and play would bring it back. Fixed.

When a plug-in was removed from the rack, the automation data for the effect in the rack below was being removed. Fixed.

Auditioning REX files with Advanced Multi Processing on may have resulted in a freeze or a crash. Fixed.

Import of .L/.R files end up reversed in Cubase. Fixed.

Stereo Punch in recordings (TrueType) were placed on wrong lanes with each punch record and inverted the phase of each every 2nd file recorded via punch-in. Fixed.

Cubase could not play back extremely short audio file without skipping. Fixed.

Reverse an audio-file could result in audio-file-corruption. Fixed

The Dropout value in the synchronization dialog was not stored with song in. Fixed

The "Pan Law" can now be changed. This changes the response the panel controls as the control is turned. There are various schemes in use in the world., By dipping the volume as the pan control moves towards the center - the apparent volume is maintained throughout the panning operation. The degree of 'dip' is set by this control and can be found in the audio system setup dialog.
